The radio station that launched U2 in the U.S. has your chance to see them at a Boston club!
The last time U2 played clubs in Boston, Ronald Reagan had just become our 40th president, a new channel called MTV made its debut, Charles Laquidara had just begun hosting "The Big Mattress" on WBCN, and Fred Toucher entered 1st grade.
This is a once in a lifetime chance to see a BCN rock legend in an intimate setting Wednesday, March 11. We will giveaway a pair of tickets at 7:15am, 12:15pm and 4:15pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
To win, you'll have to play Two Seconds of U2. We will pull 10 tracks from two WBCN/U2 club performances from The Paradise in 1981. We will play 2 seconds from one of the songs played during those shows. The 14th caller has to correctly identify the song to win a pair of tickets to this private Boston club performance.
U2... at a club in Boston - from The Rock of Boston and the station that launched U2 in America - the legendary 104.1 WBCN!
Here are the songs from the performances we'll be using.
We'll only use each song once... so keep track of the answers to better your chances.
