Congrats to Girls, Guns, & Glory, winner of the 30th Annual WBCN Rock N' Roll Rumble! Girls, Guns, & Glory have won a time honored tradition and will open up for this year's River Rave!
The 30th Annual WBCN Rock’n’Roll Rumble, the single longest running battle of the bands style competition anywhere, is here! This year's WBCN Rock'n'Roll Rumble will be held at Harpers Ferry in Allston, and starts on Sunday, April 6th!
A total of 24 bands will compete in six night of preliminary competition. Each night, four bands will perform and compete for thirty minutes. One winner from each night and two wild card bands will advance to the semi-finals round to be held on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th - all at the Harpers Ferry. One winner from each semi-final and a wild card band will compete Friday, April 25, at Harpers Ferry in the final round, which will also include a performance by the winners of the first Rumble, The Neighborhoods!
The winner of the 2008 WBCN Rumble will perform at the annual WBCN River Rave Concert to held on June 1st, at the Tweeter Center.
All nine Rumble night’s open doors at 8:00 pm and have an 18+ admission. Tickets for the entire 2008 WBCN Rock n’ Roll Rumble may be purchased in advance online at Harpers Ferry website or on the night of the show. Tickets to all the shows including the finals are on sale now through MusicToday ticketing at harpersferryboston.com.
