Lamp Recycle
Massachusetts now requires you to recycle fluorescent and other mercury-containing bulbs. A tiny amount of mercury is an essential element in energy-efficient lighting, but when you throw these bulbs in the trash they can break and release mercury into the environment. Do your part – keep mercury out of the environment. Recycle used fluorescent bulbs. For convenient recycling solutions, visit www.lamprecycle.org or www.almr.org. Homeowners, visit
www.earth911.org for a drop-off center near you.
